CD 2 - CANTOS DE ESPAÑA: Medieval Journeys Through Time

Includes two important medieval song collections: (1) The 14th-century pilgrim songs from the Llibre Vermell ("Red Book") of the monastery at Montserrat in Catalonia; and (2) Martin Codax's haunting Galician-Portuguese lyrics of spiritual and amorous longing, Cantigas de amigo (13th-century). Also: traditional Judeo-Spanish ballads of wanderings in exile.
