MUSIC FROM THE AGE OF DISCOVERY
The acclaimed
Quincentenary album, featuring Spanish and Italian
music from the Christian, Jewish, and Moorish cultures
at the time of Columbus: musical evocations of the
fall of Granada and Arab-Andalusian culture in southern
Spain; court and church music during the reign of
"the Catholic kings," Ferdinand and Isabella;
and traditional ballads of the Spanish Jews exiled
by the Edict of Expulsion.
