Spanish Music In The Age of Exploration

This original CBS Masterworks album includes many of The Waverly Consort's most acclaimed performances, both vocal and instrumental. In addition to compositions by Victoria, Gombert, Ortiz, and Flecha, there are also several anonymous Sephardic songs that evoke the vibrant and exotic mix of Jewish, Muslim, and Spanish culture that flourished on the Iberian peninsula before the fateful year of 1492.

Features the oud virtuoso George Mgrdichian.

This collection is currently available only on tape and at this website.
